Sunflower

Sunflower
11 x 14 inches
Oil on wood panel
(c) Bill Brauker

Anne and I had such fun on our road trip to WY, MT and SD, last week, that I decided I wanted to continue the fun when I got home. I have been working on three large paintings, one of Monument Valley, another of Notting Hill Station in London, and a nude. They are all about 95 percent done, but I wanted to do something that I could finish fast and would be fun to do.

This spring, I planted some sunflowers in the back yard, and this guy grew to be eight feet tall. I captured him at the height of his beauty with the cobalt blue, Colorado sky behind. Was it fun?Oh yes, it was!

Email me if you are interested in purchasing this painting for $200.
