Charley

Charley
5x7 inches
Oil on wood panel

Charley belongs to my daughter and her boy friend. He is a young, rambunctious, nut, but very lovable. Here he is looking intensely, through a window, at some squirrels on our deck.

This painting is not for sale. I do commissions, so if you have any interest in a portrait of your favorite animal, or even your house, just contact me.

The Barn

The Barn
Oil on wood panel
5 x 7 inches

This painting has a lot of sentimental value to me because it is of the barn at my Grandma Brauker's, that my brothers and sister and I used to play in as children. We call it Grandma's barn, because my grandfather died before we were born, so we never knew him. My grandmother and Uncle Chuck lived together on the farm near Coldwater, Michigan. I have painted, kind of an idolized version of it. The way I remember it, not as it is now in it's dilapidated state. (See photo below.) After my gandmother and uncle died, the farm was sold and eventually the house was torn down, but the barn still stands. (Just barely.)

This is my grandmother, Clara (Langohr) Brauker,
and my grandfather, Glenn Brauker, on their
wedding day, Oct. 6, 1917. That is the barn
in the background.

This photo of the barn was taken last summer
by my sister, Robin Walling.

Lady Kent

Lady Kent

Had a terrible time taking a photo of this one. After about 20 photos I gave up. The shadow area on the original is much darker. Anyway, the painting is much better than the photo.

At The Beach

At The Beach

I lived in Hawaii for six years, and loved my time at the beach. Since it is midwinter here in beautiful Colorado, I decided to reflect back on a warm day at the beach.
