This painting is after a photo I took in the Garden of the Gods park in Colorado Springs, not far from Pikes Peak. The park is filled with ancient red sandstone formations. The painting features the brilliant blue Colorado sky (which you have to experience in person to fully understand) and the beauty of the natural wonders that abound here.

This reminds me of Vasquez Rocks, here in California. Nice balance of light and dark here. I like the vivid colors. Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier.
