Hotel Room

Hotel Room
8 x 10 inches
Oil on wood panel.

I have been somewhat blocked lately. I have four paintings, that are all about 90 percent finished, and I have either not painted, or puttered around a little on them, but never finishing them. So yesterday morning, I got up and told myself I would complete a painting no matter what. And I did!

There is something about a hotel room at night, with the television off, and one light on, casting its glow on the impersonal objects around it. It makes for mystery, interesting lighting, emotion and a little eroticism thrown in. All things I like, so that is what I did.

Now, back to those unfinished paintings.

Very inviting, and mysterious atmosphere. You may be tempoarily blocked, Bill, but you have not lost your magic.
