Dark Glasses

Dark Glasses
5 x 7 inches
Oil on wood panel.

This painting was inspired by Ashleigh, a lovely young woman from Ontario, Canada, who has a fashion blog, http://rantingsofafashionaddict.blogspot.com/. I noticed a photo she had taken of herself in her room, and I thought it full of mystery and interesting light. She graciously allowed me to use the image. Thank you so much for that, Ashleigh.

You have done it again! very intriguing image, love the colours and those gloves. Timeless, thought provoking, it will stay with me, probably until your next painting! Happy New Year, Bill, may 2009 bring you all you could wish for.

Lovely Bill - strong shapes, wonderfully "drenched" colour, so full of quiet interest.

Very nice Bill. I like the light on her face and the background color. You sure come up with nice reference material to paint.
